Science in Our City: Come chat with local scientist Reese de la Cerda about trees, climate, and urban planning!

Reese will be visiting Our City Forest to chat about their research in San Jose. Reese's research showed different temperatures in different neighborhoods because of the amount of vegetation and trees. Reese will be available to chat for the entire hour and will give a brief presentation at 9:30. Bring your questions and curiosity!

Come chat with local scientist Reese de la Cerda about trees, climate, and urban planning!

Reese will be visiting Our City Forest to chat about their research in San Jose. Reese's research showed different temperatures in different neighborhoods because of the amount of vegetation and trees. Reese will be available to chat for the entire time and will give a brief presentations at 10:00, 10:30, and 11:00. Bring your questions and curiosity!

COVID- 19 Protocols: You should not attend the event if you are feeling ill or are showing any symptoms of COVID-19.

***All first time volunteers must submit a Volunteer Waiver & Release form

  • Volunteers 18 and older must submit a Volunteer Waiver and Release Form and Vaccination Form.

  • Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian complete the Volunteer Waiver and Release Form and Vaccination Form.

  • Volunteers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to volunteer.

Forms can be submitted electronically to volunteer@ourcityforest.org, or brought with you to your volunteer shift.
