Come volunteer at the OCF Community Nursery. Learn about the care stewardship of trees that thrive locally in our valley. Participants will work together with OCF AmeriCorps members to move our street-ready trees to the sale rows and make room for the new delivery of saplings in Spring. Volunteers may also help to scrub and sanitize re-usable tree containers to prepare for our "Bare Root" tree order of 1600 trees, prune existing tree stock, transplant small trees to larger containers, and generally care for the well-being of our trees. Able-bodied volunteers will help move mulch throughout the nursery to prevent new weeds from growing.
