Get ready to grow warm season vegetables! Join Master Gardener Nanci Howe as she reviews successful strategies for having a bountiful summer garden. Whether you grow your vegetables in the ground, planter boxes or containers, we’ll cover the basics of starting a warm season vegetable garden.

We’ll cover how to start your plants from seed or transplants, as well as site preparation, fertilization, water and maintenance tips that will help keep your vegetable garden healthy throughout the summer. Learn about easy to grow vegetables including beans, cucumbers, squash, peppers, tomatoes along with herbs and beneficial plants that will attract pollinators to your garden. Key diseases and pests common to Santa Clara County and methods of control will also be covered.
