About this event
In this Do-It-Yourself workshop you will discover the facets of drought-tolerant gardening, species selection, design, and general care and maintenance. Learn how to leverage Valley Water's landscape rebate program and execute your own lawn bust!

This is a two-day, workshop in which you will learn the following skills:
Day 1: Friday, May 19th Virtual presentation 6:00pm-7:00pm
Design & species selection
Water runoff abatement strategies
Sheet mulching & solid amendment application
Day 2: Saturday, May 20th In-person 9:00am- 12:00 pm
Landscape installation
Mulching
Watering

***If you plan to attend Day 2, all first-time attendees must submit a Volunteer Waiver & Release form

This workshop is intended for adults and homeowners looking to convert their own lawns; we kindly ask any high school volunteers to please find a different Our City Forest volunteer event to attend. Thank you!
