Details: Running out of room in your garden but still want to grow a couple of Tomato varieties you just heard about? Limited on space yet you long to grow a favorite hot pepper or other vegetables that you just can’t find in the stores? Want to grow carrots, but your soil is too rocky? Or do you want to introduce your children to gardening with a minimum of time and expense? Join Laura Westley as she talks about Growing Vegetables in Containers. She will discuss the Pros and Cons of Container Gardening, what grows well in containers, the different containers available and which work best for what purpose, what soils to use, and watering and fertilizing to keep your vegetables happy!

Participants should wear closed-toed shoes, layered clothing and a hat, as the class is held outside in our Pavilion. A refillable water bottle, notebook and writing implements are recommended. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to park and sign in.
