How do you go from plans on paper to plants in the ground? Master Gardener Paula Stapleton will take you from evaluating and preparing your soil, selecting plants at the nursery, understanding your new plants first year irrigation needs, and the pros & cons of different irrigation types for your landscape. Most importantly, Paula will give a demonstration of the “Mud” method of planting, which greatly improves the survival and vigor of new plantings!

Participants should wear closed-toed shoes, layered clothing and a hat, as the class is held outside in our Pavilion. A refillable water bottle, notebook and writing implements are recommended. Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to park and sign in.

Please note: the park charges $6.00 for parking, or park closer to our area on Chynoweth Avenue near Vauxhall Circle for free.
