Acterra's Fall 2020 Lecture Series: Creating Carbon-Rich Soil is the Next Generation’s Solution to the Climate Crisis

Join us for a conversation with members of Heirs To Our Oceans’ RACCE initiative: Regenerative Agriculture for Climate, Communities and our Environment. Our speakers include H2OO youth leaders Latifah in Uganda and Miguel and Dakota in North California. The conversation will be moderated by Nathalie Udo of H200’s Advisory Council.

We are at a turning point in how we have treated our most essential natural resources and now face a climate crisis as well as food insecurity and a shortage of ocean and health water, globally. Conventional agriculture is responsible for one third of the carbon we’ve released into the atmosphere in the last 100 years, which has also led to the poisoning of our waterways and oceans and damage to marine life. The next generation must embrace regenerative agriculture which absorbs carbon from the atmosphere and puts it back in the ground where it belongs. This was the natural balance of the ecosystem before conventional agriculture distorted it with unsustainable industrialized practices. So how do we do it? Join us for a robust conversation from a panel of youth leaders (and future leaders) of Heirs to Our Oceans and their RACCE Initiative.
