Would you like to have a beautiful, water-wise garden that attracts birds, butterflies, bees and other pollinators? Would you like to work less in the garden and get more back in return? California natives are the plants for you. October, the start of our rainy season, is the perfect month to plant California native plants in your garden. Learn how you can easily make a California native habitat garden a reality at your home. This will be followed by a brief tour of our California Native Garden.
Participants should wear closed-toed shoes, layered clothing and a hat, as the class is held outdoors. A refillable water bottle, notebook and writing implements are recommended.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to park and sign in. Please note: the park charges $6.00 for parking, or park closer to our parcel on Chynoweth Avenue near Vauxhall Circle for free.
