This class will attempt to do three things: explain what soil is, what you can do and cannot do with it, and how to "build" it into a rich, plant-friendly medium. You will learn why the Santa Clara Valley clay soil is really a gardening gold mine. We will also talk about fertilizers, both organic and inorganic.
